Top Vendors by Category (via FPDS / FPDSplus)

TOP OTSBs (DOD, last 5 years)

This chart highlights the top 20 Other Than Small Businesses (OTSBs) providing Computer Systems Design Services to the Department of Defense (DOD) over the past five years, ranked by total federal action obligations.

Leidos, Inc. leads the field with $5.76 billion in obligations, followed closely by Booz Allen Hamilton Inc. at $5.02 billion, making these two firms clear market leaders. Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) follows in third place with $3.21 billion, ahead of Peraton Enterprise Solutions LLC at $2.99 billion.

The next tier includes General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. ($2.07 billion) and CACI, Inc. – Federal ($2.05 billion), both just above the $2 billion mark. Microsoft Corporation ($1.43 billion) and Deloitte Consulting LLP ($1.41 billion) also command substantial shares, reflecting the significant role of major IT integrators and consulting firms in DOD contracts.

Vendors such as Jacobs Technology Inc. ($982.85 million), Paraton Inc. ($917.94 million), and Parsons Government Services Inc. ($877.94 million) represent the upper mid-range, while companies like Northrop Grumman Systems Corp. ($419.39 million) and Innovative Management Concepts, Inc. ($272.09 million) anchor the lower end of the top 20 list.

Overall, the data shows a highly concentrated market where a small set of large integrators—particularly Leidos, Booz Allen Hamilton, and SAIC—dominate DOD’s computer systems design services space, while a broad mix of defense contractors, IT service providers, and consulting firms compete for the remaining share.

TOP VENDORS with $10M to $50M contracts at DOD

Within the Department of Defense (DoD) under NAICS code Computer Systems Design Services, Perspecta Enterprise Solutions LLC leads the market with $1.29 billion in total action obligations over the evaluated period, closely followed by Leidos Inc. at $1.26 billion. Booz Allen Hamilton Inc. ranks third with $533.28 million, while Microsoft Corporation and Deloitte Consulting LLP follow with $297.93 million and $274.13 million, respectively.

Other notable performers include General Dynamics Information Technology Inc. ($254.22 million), Science Applications International Corporation ($217.51 million), and CACI Inc. – Federal ($213.49 million). The remaining vendors each secured between roughly $200 million and $70 million, indicating a relatively steep drop-off after the top tier.

This distribution shows that while a handful of large contractors dominate the mid-sized contract range ($10M–$50M), there is still a diverse pool of vendors successfully securing substantial DoD awards.
